Sodium formate is one of the simplest organic carboxylate salts,white crystals or powder, slightly formic acid odor.Its aqueous solution is basic.In the leather industry,it is used as a camouflage acid in chrome tanning process,as a catalyst and stabilizing synthetic agent,and as a reducing agent in printing and dyeing industry.
